A Celebration of the Tree: The Man who Planted Trees

In celebration of Earth Day and Arbor Day, residents of Bozeman and surrounding areas are invited to join National Parks Conservation Association and the University of Utah’s Taft-Nicholson Center for this free event to be held at the Bozeman Public Library.

Featured guest Jim Robbins, noted New York Times writer and author of “The Man Who Planted Trees” will present a compelling examination of how climate change is impacting forests in the West. Robbins will discuss the essential role trees play as the planet’s filter system, as critical medicine to wildlife, and why trees are an ‘eco-technology’ that can restore damaged ecosystems and help the planet adapt to a changing climate.

Following the presentation, a panel of regional scientists will discuss the impacts of climate change on the forests and wildlife of the Yellowstone ecosystem.
